1. Who We Are
Class of Happiness is an educational wellbeing application designed to support emotional awareness for teachers, parents, and students. The service is operated by Class of Happiness and can be contacted at:
⚠️ 2. Important Disclaimers — Please Read Carefully
Not affiliated with Zones of Regulation®
Class of Happiness is an independent application and is in no way affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Zones of Regulation® programme, Leah Kuypers, or Think Social Publishing, Inc. The colour-based emotional awareness system used in this app was developed independently and does not reproduce, replicate, or distribute any part of the proprietary Zones of Regulation® curriculum or materials.
Not a clinical or diagnostic tool
Class of Happiness is designed solely to support emotional awareness in educational settings. It is not a medical device, psychological assessment tool, or substitute for professional mental health diagnosis, therapy, or clinical intervention. The app does not provide clinical assessments, medical advice, or therapeutic recommendations. Always consult a qualified mental health or educational professional for clinical concerns about a child or adult.
For educational purposes only
All strategies, check-ins, and content within the app are intended for general educational and emotional awareness purposes only. They are not a replacement for professional psychological support, special educational needs assessments, safeguarding procedures, or school counselling services.
Teacher and school responsibility
Schools and teachers using Class of Happiness remain responsible for their own safeguarding, pastoral care, and data governance obligations. Class of Happiness is a support tool and does not replace any statutory duty of care. Decisions about student wellbeing must always involve qualified professionals and appropriate school policies.
🔒 3. Children's Privacy & Student Safety
We take the safety and privacy of children extremely seriously. Our approach mirrors the standards set by leading educational apps:
- We never advertise to students. Student data is never used for advertising or marketing purposes.
- We never sell student data. Student emotional check-in data is never sold, rented, or shared with any third party for commercial purposes.
- Students do not create independent accounts. Student profiles are created and managed by their teacher or parent — students provide no contact details, email addresses, or other identifying information directly.
- Minimal data collection. Students are identified only by first name and avatar. No location data, device identifiers, or behavioural tracking data is collected from students.
- Controlled access. Student emotional data is visible only to their assigned teacher and, where mutual consent has been given, their linked parent or guardian.
- School responsibility for consent. Schools and teachers are responsible for ensuring appropriate parental consent is obtained before adding students to the platform, in accordance with their local laws and school policies.
